MEKONG IN CLOSE UP ON LE COCHINCHINE CRUISE

DAY 01: CAI BE – SA DEC – CAI BE

10h30-11h00 AM: Welcome you at our Caibe pier. 

Join our Le Cochinchine boat for a welcome drink and check-in your room. Le Cochinchine continues to Cai Thia.

- Cycle or walk excursion through the villages bordered by green orchards, rice fields…

12h00 - 13h00: Come back to our boat for lunch while the boat cruises toward Sadec, a charming and quiet town located on the bank of the Tien River.

On arrival, we visit:

- A brickyard at the entrance of the village.

- The lively market of Sadec

- The old house of Huynh Thuy Le - the lover of the French Novelist Marguerite Duras

- Trung Vuong primary school founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Marguerite Duras’s mother.

In the heart of the village of Sadec, we discover: 

- The Cao Dai temple

- The garden of bonsai and flowers.

17h00: Return to our boat and enjoy the foot massage while watching the sunset over the Mekong River and sipping an aperitif.

Dinner and overnight on board.

DAY 01: CAN THO – TRA ON – CHO LACH

10:30-11:00 AM: Welcome you at our pier in Can Tho 

Embark on Le Cochinchine boat. Enjoy welcome drink. Then visit: The Cai Rang market - one of the most bustling floating markets in Mekong.

12:00-13:00: Lunch served on board. The river barge continues toward Tra On. Leisurely cruise down the Mekong while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

16:00: Walk or cycle on the footpaths to see local houses and green orchards, meet local people and discovery their daily life.

Board back at dusk, enjoy a pre-dinner drink together with a magnificent sunset on Mang Thit River. 

Enjoy the foot massage on board.

You will enjoy an aperitif at the magnificent sunset.

DAY 02: CHO LACH – CAI BE – SA DEC

Wake up early in the morning to admire splendid sunrise on the Mekong River with songs of birds, the animation of the boats characterizing the life of river region.

07: 30 AM: Breakfast on board. 

Cycle or walk excursion through the villages bordered by green orchards, rice fields…

12h00 - 13h00: Come back to our boat for lunch while the boat cruises toward Sadec, a charming and quiet town located on the bank of the Tien River.

In the afternoon, we visit:

Return on board with an exotic aperitif on the upper deck before dinner.

Taking part in a cooking class on board, you will have the chance to try to make Pumpkin flower stuffed with That Lat fish and learn how to cut vegetables for decorating dishes.

DAY 03: CAI BE DEPARTURE

07h30 AM: have breakfast on board, transfer to discover the Cai Be.

8:30 - 9:00 AM: Check-out Le Cochinchine boat, say “goodbye” to our friendly staff.

We transfer you by a local boat for exploring:

- Cai Be floating market

- Local pop-rice, coconut candy and rice paper manufacturers.

- The old house of Mr. Ba Kiet where you may discover the garden and sample tea and seasonable fruits.

The local boat sails through tiny canals and arroyos before bringing you back to the shore.

11:00 AM: Get off at Cai Be harbour around 

End of nice cruise.

Meals: Breakfast
