Arrive in Lao Cai at around 5:30 A.M. We will take 1-hour van ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. You have breakfast at the hotel or local restaurant before walking about 12km along the mountain trails or main road to visit Suoi Ho, Ma Tra and Ta Phin villages which are inhabited by Black Hmong and Red Dzao tribes. Along the way we can come in some schools as well as tribal houses to have experience of local Sapa life. Moreover, the landscape, culture, custom and tradition of Black Hmong tribe of Suoi Ho and Ma Tra villages are preserved from tourists so you can study the raw things here. Picnic lunch will be served on the way at the home stay in Ta Phin village before being transported to Sapa by car. We will leave Sapa for Bac Ha Market at 8 am which only open on Sunday. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery along the road until you arrive in Muong Khuong town. From there, you turn into a dirt road, which goes up in mountains. Pine trees forest, villages surround tiny market. Flower Hmong, Tay, Dzay ethnic minorities come to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. After exploring the market, your car will take you heading to Ban Pho village – the most stunning part of Lao Cai province. You will then be able to visit the most secluded peaceful village and have an opportunity to see the people still distill the wine from corn, making bacon in the most basic way and offering the special corn cake to anyone who drops by their house. After that, get on the car for transfer to see China border before returning to Lao Cai train station to catch the night train to Hanoi.Meals: Breakfast, LunchDAY 6: HANOI – HALONG BAY – OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE
