Vietnam has secured the top position in Emirates’ global bookings for summer 2025, surpassing popular destinations across Asia and Europe. This remarkable growth in flight reservations highlights Vietnam’s increasing appeal as a leading travel destination, supported by improved international air connectivity and rising interest in Vietnam tourism.
Strong Growth in Bookings
Compared with last year, Vietnam has seen a surge of over 60% in Emirates reservations, a growth rate that pushed it ahead of traditionally popular destinations. This rapid rise highlights the country’s strengthening position as a must-visit location for international travelers.
New Route Boosting Da Nang
One of the biggest factors behind this trend is the new Dubai–Bangkok–Da Nang route launched by Emirates. By adding Da Nang to its network, the airline has made central Vietnam more accessible to travelers from Europe, the Middle East, and North America. In total, Emirates now operates around 25 flights per week to Vietnam, serving Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang.
Why Da Nang Leads the Way
Da Nang has become one of the most attractive destinations in Vietnam thanks to its balance of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern hospitality.
- The city provides access to three UNESCO World Heritage sites within a short drive.
- Its coastline stretches for thousands of kilometers, offering pristine beaches ideal for family holidays and water activities.
- Da Nang has built a reputation for both street-food experiences and high-end dining.
- Luxury resorts such as InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula, Premier Village, and Novotel Premier Han River are popular with premium travelers.
- Iconic landmarks like the Golden Bridge at Ba Na Hills and the fire-breathing Dragon Bridge attract thousands of visitors each week.
Festival Season Driving Visitor Numbers
Da Nang stands out as the only city in Vietnam that hosts an annual international fireworks festival, which runs for nearly two months each summer. The event draws large crowds and contributes to record traffic through Da Nang International Airport. On the final day of the 2025 festival in July, the airport recorded more than 170 flights, marking one of the busiest days of the year.
Recognition as a Festival & Event Hub
The city’s dynamic calendar of festivals, concerts, and cultural events has earned it recognition as Asia’s Leading Festival and Event City. This reputation further enhances Da Nang’s appeal as a vibrant hub for both leisure and entertainment.
