11 days in Thailand is not nearly long enough to see everything this beautiful, colourful country has on offer, but it WILL give you a good flavour of Thailand and allow ample time to see all the best things of Thailand.
DAY 1: BANGKOK ARRIVAL
Upon arrival in Bangkok, our guide meet & greet you at the airport then transfer to the hotel. After check in, free & relax on own. Stay overnight at hotel in Bangkok.
DAY 2: BANGKOK SIGHTSEEING (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. A visit to the Grand Palace, including the Coronation Hall, Wat Phra Kaew or Emerald Buddha Temple, and the replica of Angkor Wat. Continue to Wat Pho, home of the reclining Buddha as well as the first school of traditional medicine and Thai massage and also regarded as Thailand’s first University. Lunch at a local restaurant.Take an excursion by long-tail boat on the canals of Bangkok’s surprisingly rural western suburbs. Enjoy the natural scenery and observe the daily lives of the people, who live along the canals. Carry on by boat to Wat Arun, known as the Temple of Dawn. With its magnificent 79 meter high pagoda-style monument, situated just beside the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun serves as one of the most outstanding landmarks in Bangkok with spectacular view from the surrounding. Return to the pier and transfer back to hotel.DAY 3: BANGKOK - FLOATING MARKET - KANCHANABURI - BANGKOK (B/L)
Breakfast at hotel. On this full day tour, you will get to experience age old traditions of Thai culture as you paddleboat around the famous Floating Market in Damnoen Saduak (Open on Saturday & Sunday), observing locals selling and exchanging good from their long-tail boats. You’ll also have time to stroll between the many vibrant stalls and soak up the unique atmosphere of this magical place. After the market, you’ll travel to the River Kwai, Kanchanaburi, where you will take lunch beneath the famous bridge. The tour will take you to the local Elephant Camp - Taweechai Elephant Camp, where you will take a ride through the jungle. You will also take a ride on a traditional bamboo raft. Drive back Bangkok.
DAY 4: BANGKOK - CHIANG MAI HALF DAY CITY TOUR / FLIGHT
Breakfast at hotel, then you are transferred to Bangkok Airport for flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival, meet & greet by English speaking guide, then transfer to the hotel.Afternoon the trip entails a pleasant 15 km. wildly driving up 3,500 feet above sea level to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in the city. You then exercise your heart, lungs and limbs (perfect for couch potatoes and those with beer belly) by ascending the 306 steps to the temple, guarded by two magnificent Nagas (serpents) and constructed in 1383; this symbol of Chiang Mai contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha which is enshrined in the magnificent, glowing golden pagoda. A bird’s eye view of the entire city and the surrounding areas can be seen from the temple grounds. Continue to visit the White Hmong hill tribe village. It’s a scenic route. Migrants from China who prefer to live in simple, isolated and self-sustaining villages while preserving their primitive culture, ancient customs and gorgeous embroidered costumes.DAY 5: CHIANG MAI - LAMGPANG TOUR - CHIANG MAI (B/L)
