3 hundred-year-old craft villages in Hoi An
Hoi An has traditional craft villages that have been around for hundreds of years and are infused with the river region's history.
1. Thanh Ha Pottery Village
Located three kilometers west of Hoi An Town, Thanh Ha pottery hamlet is an old settlement located on the Thu Bon River's banks. With a 500-year history of formation and development, the village's pottery is designated as a national intangible cultural treasure.
2. Kim Bong carpentry village
Kim Bong carpentry village is located approximately 5 kilometers east of Thanh Ha pottery village. Kim Bong village, which began with carpentry in the 16th century, is well-known for home products, construction, and, in particular, shipbuilding.
Beginning with carpentry in the sixteenth century, Kim Bong village gained notoriety for its construction, household items, and, most importantly, its shipbuilding.
3.Tra Que Vegetable Village
Tra Que Vegetable Village, which dates back 400 years, is located around 9 kilometers north of Kim Bong Village and passes through the heart of Hoi An. This location has also been designated as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage site. Visitors will find themselves lost in a verdant area that is home to several veggies, particularly spices.
