Vietnam is among the top 20 travel destinations in Asia
The American financial website Insider Monkey listed Vietnam as number 13 on a list of the 20 most popular travel destinations in Asia because of its accessibility, warmth, delicious cuisine, and high approval rate for visas.
The ranking was based on a variety of criteria, including respect, friendliness, diversity, democracy, and foreign tourist numbers.
"Vietnam attracts visitors from across the world for several reasons. It is affordable, has incredible scenery, and has some of the most amazing food you will ever have," the website wrote.
Aside from this, the country is quite open and friendly to visitors, with a high visa acceptance rate.
Over 12.6 million tourists visited Vietnam in 2018, a threefold increase over 2022.
Vietnam extended visa-free stays to 45 days for large economies, including numerous European nations, Japan, and South Korea, and began issuing three-month visas to citizens of all other countries and territories in August of last year.
Malaysia was named the most popular Asian destination, followed by Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates.
